cozy evenings, lazy weekends

Mark’s had a little more time to cook these days, so we’re back to eating better dinners. We’re also cutting back on meat and trying to eat healthier overall. We haven’t posted any recipes in a real long time and if I wasn’t feeling so lazy (actually I am sick, legit excuse) I would have taken more photos and maybe we would have posted this dinner of homemade whole wheat parathas, chickpeas with crisp fried onions, and yogurt marinated chicken. It was really good, just take my word for it.
We’re taking it easy this weekend. There may be more snow. Mark’s got the Flea on Sunday and I plan on cleaning up around here. We may not even leave the house.

hope you feel better soon and when you do, please post the recipe. it sounds delish!
sounds like a really tasty dinner!
hope you feel better soon.
mmm parathas. mmm chickpeas. gimme!
the food you make looks so gorgeous always. is it mark’s cooking or your photography?! it’s breakfast and i am thinking of curry!
<3 <3 <3 not leaving the house
Is it my computer, or did you make changes to your blog colours and design at the top? I found it refreshing! We could do with a change here…. Summer is still with us. Floods have come and gone (Brisbane, Queensland)…Your snow looks so clean. Do hope you get better Jenna. So nice to enjoy a beautiful meal when you’re feeling blah that you didn’t have to cook!!
looks delicious….feel better!
Jane, yes I did…at 2:30 in the morning! I kind of forgot about it today. I was tired of those cheerful yellow pinwheel thingies. I admit, this design is odd, but I’ll keep it for awhile.
Total comfort food in my family… DEE-LISH! Hope you’re having a great weekend.
Ooh, that looks like traditonal paraanthas – triangular and layered! Nice…
I noticed the new color, too. Love it. When i can’t sleep at 2:30 am, I peruse the Internet. I wish I used that time more productively, though. I hope you feel better soon, Jenna. Please post the recipes when you get a chance. Sounds like you guys had a great meal.
