I’m not sure why we never visited the the Nassau County Art Museum before this weekend, considering it’s only a short drive from my parents house, but we went on Easter Sunday and it was the perfect place to spend a few quiet hours. While there wasn’t a whole lot plants in the cultivated gardens yet, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom in the sculpture meadow. Such lovely grounds and the best part is that it’s only a $2 parking fee to enjoy the outdoor landscaping if you don’t feel like going into the museums. While we didn’t visit the main art museum, we did check out the Babar Museum of Art exhibit at the Ridder MiniArt Museum for children. If you’re a fan of the elephant, than it’s well worth a visit. Plus they have this mind-boggling 1 million dollar castle dollhouse that will blow you away.

My sister, Kathleen Bourgeois, is a regular reader of your blog and sends it to me from time to time-I’m living in France now and we are Babar-maniacs! I found a whole tiny stuffed Babar family at one of the grocery stores here! Are you and your girls big Babar fans?
