If 3 is a magic number, then 6 makes you realize that your little girl is growing up. For reals. 6 is serious business. It’s closer to 10 than it is to 1.

Happy birthday to my girl!

Absolutley beautiful! I love the cake! I love how you make something so simple into something that looks so amazing! iI would much rather have my kids invited to one of your parties than one of those wild crazy parties most parents put on for their kids.I really love how you celebrate the simple things with your family, I always feel like I have to do so much to impress my family but your blog shows us how any little thing can be a big thing with your family. 🙂 I LOVE your blog!!!

1: Think about how quickly six years has passed.
2: Realize that in another six, Mia will be twelve.
    3: Mind blown.

Maligayang Kaarawan, Mia! Happy Birthday in Tagalog. My daughter is turning 12 this Feb so yeah, to have her back when she was 6 would be so precious but we all have to look ahead and forward. Mark, love the cake. Jenna, the purple pony pinata is a nice touch.

is there something about purple ponies and 6th birthdays? we also got that target pinata for my niece’s 6th next weekend since that’s all she wanted too…weird. thanks for the tip that it doesn’t hold much since i was still looking for little toys to stuff it with. 🙂

Happy Birthday to Mia! You’re lucky that Mia just wanted a pinata for her party. Pema insisted on a “make your own puppet” party which was a lot of work! We just had it this weekend since we were in Tasmania for her actual birthday.

And congrats on moving out of the baby stage with Claudine. You would be surprised which child of mine is STILL in pull-ups at night (yup.still.)
