this year’s snowflakes

December 25, 2008 |  Category:   craft holidays

Mia and I cut paper snowflakes every year before the holidays and these are this year’s additions to the ones we made last year. In a few years we might have enough to paper the entire apartment with snowflakes! Hope everyone is having a happy holiday. It’s fairly mellow and quiet at my parents’ house. I think the day is even bordering on “boring”!

melissa, are you guys back? did you go away?
These snowflakes were made the old fashioned way – fold paper multiples times, trim the edges curved to make a circle, and then cut away. It’s fun because you never know how they will turn out until the big reveal when you unfold them.

I forgot all about paper snowflakes. I used to love making them when I was a kid.

Hope you had a happy Christmas.

Those are lovely. I should start a tradition like that with my own kids. I bet your apartment will look very festive if you ever get to cover the walls.
