a weekend in the country with family

One of reasons we came out to Seattle this time of year is because Mark’s Norwegian side of the family has an annual family reunion in August. This year it was at his cousin’s house out in the country (soon to be suburbs?) near Seattle. They have a great big house for entertaining with 2 awesome teenagers who M adored (and who patiently endured endless knock knock jokes and hide-n-seek play all weekend), lots of pets and a horse. I haven’t felt so inspired to take many pictures of food (or maybe I just need a break from food photography) but it was a Sunday afternoon of all day eating.
