the last of the last

September 23, 2011 |  Category:   family life Seattle & the NW travels

Seems like whenever we leave Washington, our flight is always early morning so we need to wake up many hours before even the first light breaks. The drive is in darkness, so there is nothing to see out the car windows. I always make sure that our last night is filled with sights, like dusk at the waterfront in Olympia, to carry us over to our next visit.

So I’ll bring you back to New York next week. In the meantime, have a great weekend. Also, we are at the end of September. What?

I hear you. September is almost gone? It just started! October? I’M NOT PREPARED! I’m really quite bewildered actually, how it can possibly be that in another week, October is upon us. Then Nov. Then kabam, it’s Christmas (I consider all of Dec to be Christmas :). Repeat: NOT PREPARED!!!

Hi, I’m a newbie here, but I just wanted to say that I’ve really enjoyed your lovely posts about the northwest. As a former Seattlelite these are making me more than a little homesick but in a good way. You captured it beautifully. Thanks.

I feel the same way about September, mostly because Alice didn’t start preschool until the 12th, so it feels like the month just started…
Also, explain again, why you are not a pro photog? I love your photos…

The light in these photos is absolutely amazing – you’ve captured the idea of “the end of summer” very beautifully. I can’t believe it’s the end of September either – it feels like just a few days ago that I was making all these plans for the summer… and now summer is all but done! Anyhow, wishing you a wonderful weekend, look forward to your next post.

  • Jenna October 7, 2011 at 9:15 pm

@claire There is no beauty secret! I seriously have no particular skincare regime. If I got more sleep, I’d reckon I’d look better than I do, ha!
