Despite all the mild angst surrounding this birthday from a few posts back, I had a really good day. I had a good design review with a client in the morning and decided to push work aside for the rest of the day. The weather was perfect. I had a long 2 hour lunch sitting outside at a restaurant with my dear friends Nichole and Anna (a woman asked to be moved because apparently we were being too loud. Really?) and a really great sushi dinner with Mark and the girls. I walked around the city a bit by myself (ok, I actually left the house without keys and was locked out, but the weather was too good to head home anyway). Phone calls from mom and dad and an old friend that sort of made me feel like a kid again, flowers from the family and kind birthday wishes from all over Facebook and Twitter. Thank you for a truly great day! I love my friends and my family!
And look…cake! Will you come and help me eat the rest?
Happy Birthday again, sounds like a perfect day!
Happy Birthday! Sorry cannot help you with that cake…we are still finishing up my daughter’s birthday cake from 2 days ago. Boston creme pie!
The cake looks divine. Did Mark bake it?
@Joana Gomes Yup! I can’t remember the last time we bought a cake.
that cake looks amazing! happy belated birthday! =)
Happy birthday! Glad you had a great day.
Happy birthday Jenna!!! So glad that you had a great day.
Happy (belated) birthday, Jenna. So glad that you had a lovely day… 🙂
Happy birthday, sounds like you had a perfect day!
Uh….. yeah I will! 🙂
Did Mark bake the cake? Looks amazing.
And that sushi – it’s making me hungry even though it’s past midnight here and I’m in bed. Happy birthday again! I’m so glad you had a lovely day. Phone calls that make you feel like a kid again are just gold.
Ronnie xo
p.s. Okay, just realised from your reply to Joana that Mark did in fact bake that stunning creation. Gobsmacked, I am.
Happy (belated) Birthday! ? That sounds like a lovely day and that food looks delicious. Especially that cake, yum!
Glad it was a lovely day for you, Miss Jenna. Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Lunch with Nichole and Anna?! That would be a *treat*! Especially if all of us were there together. Although, truth be told, if I were there, instead of that woman asking to be moved we would probably have been asked to leave altogether. That’s okay. You all enjoy the rest of lunch and I’ll just watch from outside. 😉
many happy returns, Jenna!
Happy birthday, Jenna! If I were there, I would definitely help you to finish the cake.
Happy Belated Birthday! Great to hear it was a wonderful day. I will be over around 4pm to eat the cake. 🙂
happy b’day 🙂 count me in 🙂
Sounds like a great day. Happy Birthday Jenna!
Sushi & Cake! Perfect! Glad you had a great day 🙂
Happy belated birthday, Jenna! The cake looks delicious 🙂
happy belated birthday. getting singled out as “the loud group” at lunch must have made you feel a little young too, no? ha, i would have been so annoyed at whoever moved away.
enjoy the rest of that gorgeous cake!
Happy birthday Jenna! I’m glad you had a (well-deserved) wonderful day.
Happy birthday! It’s always nice to have family and friends around on this special day!
What a great way to spend the day. Happy Birthday!
*___* SUSHI!!
lol, I’ve “gone for a walk” before….in my *socks* because I couldn’t get back inside and had to wait for my hubby to get off work and let me in!
Weeks later a guy at my job was like “hey, I saw you walking around the neighbohood in your socks.” AWKWARD.
Hope you had a wonderful birthday!!
Happy birthday! 🙂 Blessings to you and your lovely family.
And great photos, the sushi looks amazing. What restaurant did you go to?
@Susan. We went to a place called Ten in our neighborhood.
Happy birthday Jenna! Everything looks delicious, especially the cake! Glad you had a great day! 🙂
I’m very pleased that you were being too loud. That was the right thing to do!
