A working book title

The girls were given these awesome blank books by Mark’s aunt over Easter. As soon as we got home from the long drive, Claudine promptly filled hers with pages of stripes. Before even taking off her shoes, Mia took a red marker and started writing on the cover. When they ran off to their rooms, I found this: “The Times of My Life.”

Your kids will treasure this account of everything. My uncle recorded my brothers and me having a conversation once. It is the only thing like it, in a journal of his. And it is hilarious.

I love it. Funny, I was thinking about my first diary (age 6). I still have it. Planning to dig it up while I’m in Brooklyn next week. Make sure you hang on to that, whatever she ends up writing (or not writing) in it.
