I might take a blog break for awhile. I’m not really feeling it these days. Sometimes you lose sight of what the point is, who it’s for, what it’s about, but it’s a sign of something if lately you’re not getting anything from it. Or maybe I’ll just post some photos for awhile. See you soon.

Going to miss you! Would love to see tidbits of your life through your photos. Wishing you explorations that bring meaning to you and your family. I am touched and inspired by your blog. This will be a good chance to go back and read over previous posts…that’s important too…like reading back through a journal and realizing how much we have/have not changed.

  • Rosa March 14, 2010 at 7:44 pm

Your blog is my favorite. I enjoy your pictures from Argentina.I hope you’ll get better! See ya.

  • Janet March 14, 2010 at 7:58 pm

I really understand needing a break, and I hope you have a restorative one. I did want to say, though, how much I’ve enjoyed your blog since I discovered it last month. As a writer and teacher planning to have a baby sometime soon, it’s been so inspiring and encouraging to experience your honesty about being a parent and your insights in the area of being creative and having a meaningful job. It’s also allowed me a connection to NYC, especially Brooklyn, which I miss terribly. πŸ™‚ So, I just wanted to say thanks for that.

  • EmmaC March 14, 2010 at 8:02 pm

I’ll miss hearing snippets of your day, but totally understand the need for a break. Take good care of yourself!

  • ninja March 14, 2010 at 9:08 pm

I don’t know how you kept up blogging at this pace the whole time, while juggling family and two jobs. I am glad to hear you’re taking a break to re-charge, but i will miss checking in every late night as i am (almost) on the same crazy schedule. If you feel like posting just photos every now and then, that would be much appreciated πŸ™‚

You will be missed. I look forward to your postings every day, but I know how hard it is when you aren’t feeling it. Your photography is gorgeous, your observations are always insightful. Of the 20 or so blogs I read each day, yours is one of the best. I can live in NY vicariously.
    Take care.

    hey jenna,

totally understand as i write my own blog and it is hard to constantly feel inspired…so take some time but as i only read yours and one other blog daily you will be missed. But….I really do think you are a brilliant photographer and the way you photograph your children is pretty darn special. Ever thought about getting a space and doing more of it?

i can relate to that, and i have taken one or two blog breaks myself. they work. you sound as though you have a lot going on in your life at the moment, and i find that when blogging becomes a chore rather than a pleasure then it truly is time for a break. we’ll all still be here! be well.

As a 60s something with no more children/grandchildren in my now mostly quiet house, I look forward to your daily adventures and insights on the life of a modern working woman.

The fact that you are a marvelous photographer beautifully enchances your words. Enjoy your much deserved break and we will be waiting for your return!

One job is tough enough, and you’re holdng down four (!). I’ll miss your posting but this new Canadian fan wishes you the respite you deserve.
