chasing the white bunny at Old Westbury Gardens

May 15, 2012 |  Category:   life outings

It looks like Alice plays here, doesn’t it? You may remember the first time we took the girls to Old Westbury Gardens. It was on my birthday last year, but it was still chilly and the leaves and flowers hadn’t bloomed yet. What a difference a month makes (although everything is at least 2 weeks earlier this year due to the warm winter and spring weather). We spent Mother’s Day morning here. It’s the perfect place to wander around and let the kids role play all their fantasy games. It’s like the Secret Garden. Magical.

Old Westbury Gardens!!! I love that place, and have yet to take my children. My sisters, cousins and I would take FABULOUS (ridiculous) photos of ourselves in front of the back of the house in poses suggesting we were Lords and Ladies of the Manor.
Lots of picnics and good memories there.
    Thanks for sharing.

How jaw-droppingly beautiful – both the location and your sweet pictures of the girls! I especially love the matching dresses. DH and I will have to explore this place this summer. Your family’s adventures at Stone Barns inspired us to go, and now we’re regular visitors.
