I’ve been sitting on these photos from the Chrysanthemum Show at the New York Botanical Garden for two months and finally got a chance to look through the images. This is a yearly event at the Garden and one I look forward to every November. The variety of specimens, colors and shapes are truly incredible, and the way the expert gardeners train the flowers into pyramids, lattices and other forms make for a dazzling display. I do appreciate the art of how these flowers are meticulously trained, but for me, the blooms themselves——which can grow as big as a very large grapefruit——are the real star.
Incredible flowers and incredible photos. Thanks for sharing! (And I’d love to have these as prints on my wall.)
So beautiful!
Those are so nice Jenna. I have had them on my list of plants to grow for a few years but don’t feel I am settled enough in this particular house for a big investment in gardening. Maybe I should give it a whirl anyway as a sort of “pre-learning” for when I do feel established.
I had no idea the flowers are this beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
Oh Jenna, these pictures are beautiful! I am guilty of scroll-scroll-scrolling through beautiful pictures, but today I really took a deep breath and took my time to look at them (and will again after writing this). Your eye for framing and light is so wonderful 🙂 Thank you for the smile and peace you gifted me with this.
Oh, I’m glad! Thanks for taking a breath and lingering over these photos.
Oh my these are so truly beautiful. Like the paintings of Dutch masters. These have such depth and atmosphere. Really gorgeous! Thank you for sharing this.
