Sometimes it’s good to go someplace new, even if it’s not far. We hadn’t been to this part of Fire Island before. The nice thing about it is that the beach wasn’t very crowded, even on a prime summer Sunday. Maybe because you have to take a ferry to get there. No cars allowed either. I even took a nap under the beach umbrella. The week of doing nothing continues…
wonderful weather…
sounds like a relaxing time! great pictures too
It is very beautiful. It sounds very quiet on the island since no cars are allowed. This must be a nice place to go when one wants to get away from civilization.
Ahhh, this looks just perfect…
Napping under a beach umbrella sounds…divine. Hope you’re able to continue doing nothing for a bit longer – everyone needs a break now and then.
Qué largo tiene el pelo Mía, y tan claro su color!!!! Tus niñas están hermosas, saludos desde Uruguay
this place looks amazing. may i ask where on fire island? was it a day trip or did you stay the night? coming to ny in august and trying to plan some beach excursions.
A nap under a beach umbrella? Sounds divine Jenna.
I can’t remember my last week of doing nothing. I would love to get me some of that.

The nap under the umbrella sounds delightful!
@jen – just a daytrip. The beach we to was sailor’s haven and we took the ferry from sayville LI
I think I am a little obsessed with Fire Island. Would love to get to the Sunken Forest. Love the photo of the winding path through there.
