The dogwoods are in bloom. I love how the flowering trees bloom in succession, peaking at different weeks. So much color in the city right now, but soon the flowers will give way to green canopies as the trees fill in with leaves. We can already imagine what summer will be like; there’s already a feeling of closure with the school year and activities slowly settling in the air.

We had a low key weekend and stuck close to home, nursing various ailments and Spring allergies. As such, I missed out 2 days on my workout and I must admit that it’s a hard thought trying to motivate back on it this morning, but I will. I’m on day 11 and just a quick update, but yes. Yes, I do see a difference. For those of you who have decided to join me, how are you doing?

Yeah, no more short hair bobs. I need to move on level 2 tomorrow. Scared!

I skipped the weekend as well and it was a struggle to get through it this morning. I did feel better afterwards,

Also, half inch off all over the place.

wow, that’s awesome. What day are you on? I didn’t do any before measurements or anything like that, but I can definitely feel (and see) the difference. Yeah, it’s harder to get back going if you stop a day or 2. Gotta keep on it! Did it this morning since I felt better from my cold, so I’m back on track.

I was on day 7 on Friday, skipped the weekend, and picked it up again yesterday just before I measured. It’s the hardest 20 mins ever!

I just finished level 2. I have to say…wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be!

I was 3 weeks into eating healthier (how a mid-forty year old should be eating anyway) and getting back into my walking exercise routine but knew my body still needed something more in terms of exercise. I read your post about the 30 day shred, looked into it because I’ve never heard of it before, and after reading about it immediately knew it was something I wanted to try.
I really like it. I’ve been doing it for a couple of weeks now and I do see and feel the difference…enough of one that makes it encouraging to continue. For me, I honestly think it is the combination of my healthier eating habits, the DVD, plus the walking that I do. It’s not super fast, but quick enough to make it encouraging to keep at it…hopefully long term.

That’s great! And yes, the result definitely do encourage you to keep at it. A lot of people I’ve talked to mentioned that it was kind of like their gateway back into exercise.

Day 5! It’s kicking my butt! I don’t know about you, but it made me realize how inflexible I am when she does the stretches at the end… sticking with it though. Thanks for the inspiration!

I don’t have problems with flexibility, but the 5 pound weights in certain exercises (not all) are really killing me…but I haven’t gotten around to getting 3 lbs yet. I guess I will stick with it and see what happens with level 2 tomorrow.

Spring time in New York is so pretty. Of course, I’ve only been in the spring but there’s a charm to the old buildings and old trees.

We just got over snow in Nebraska! Mother Nature is funny this year. 🙂

      Whoa. snow…in May!
