This is our walk home from school. Suddenly, just in the past week, there are buds in the trees and the very first cherry blossoms are starting to appear. Claudine likes to spot them on every tree and bush along the way. I think we can all agree that it’s been a really long winter, so I feel like we’re all clinging onto these little signs that better days are ahead. It was also a really long day today, sort of emotionally taxing with a lot of news to take in. But I ended the day with some friends and in the end that always makes things better.
I’ve always been an avid reader of your blog. Love all the pictures and your daughters. U should seriously consider sending them for their early modeling careers! 🙂
Sent the cherry blossoms here!
Cherry blossoms always lift my spirits too-hope today’s a better day for you!
Isn’t it weird how we can never remember winter being this long last year? I go through the same thought process every February/April/May. I’m glad Claudine has got into the habit of searching for blossom early…x
Beautiful…I love cherry blossoms.
Cherry blossoms always remind me of the home, Japan, and sweet memories with my family. Thank you for capturing the above beautiful pictures. They lift my soul and mind. I am positive the good warm days are coming for sure.
yay for the first signs of Spring! Finally!
gorgeous! glad the season is finally changing. best to you.
let’s all breathe a sigh of relief for the temps rising into the 50’s. have a good weekend.
I love these shots, Jenna!
I was excited to notice the cherry blossoms this week too. Sorry to hear that you had an emotionally taxing day, but I agree days that end with friends make the hard times much better!
I love these photos, and that little girl is darling.
The second picture is my favorite.
(Also, I totally agree about the length of this winter. It’s such a bummer.)
how i wish that was what we saw on our walk home from school!
lovely, lovely.
How lovely to see such delicate blossoms in such a big, lively city 🙂
Hope everything is going ok with you, emotionally taxing days are far more tiring than the most physically demanding days I always think.
I saw buds swelling on my ballerina magnolia today and a couple beginning to pop open–hurray!
love your blog, images, humor…
Gorgeous pictures. Spring is officially here.
