Thank you to everyone who who wished us a happy anniversary and bought during our sale. On to year 5…
After one of the mildest winters ever on record here in NYC we’re enjoying early Spring, and with sunshine and temps reaching 70 in the last few days it feels more like summer than anything, which has me scrambling to find the girls sandals. It’s pretty crazy how seldom our heat went on this winter which has resulted in some of the lowest gas bills ever during this faux winter. Always nice to be pleasantly surprised by a utility bill every month.
I’m in the middle of one of my busy work schedules and juggling a few projects. I know I don’t talk much about my freelance design work here, which is really my full time job (some weeks more than full time), but some day soon I will…in the meantime, I’m in this weird head space of design and under a lot of pressure, which at the moment is a bit stressful.
See you soon.
Our weather has been very similar this year. Usually you are full of snow and we are stuck wishing for it and being teased by only flurries here and there. However, I can’t complain, this year. I have been soaking up the sunshine this week. So much so, that I accidentally got burned yesterday.
Time to pull out the sun screen and wide-brimmed hats, I suppose.
Good luck with your design work.
belated congrats on wrapping up year no. four! I’m a tad bit jealous of your weather as it’s been a bit chilly and now we are in for a weekend of rain over here. this is not the southern california I pay good money for!
good luck with your busy workload. I feel your pain… it’s funny how deadlines, design problems, and typically other random issues all come up at the same time. sheesh!
lovely photo.
hopefully the stressed phase will be short. good luck.
I love the photo. Sounds one calm day there:) Wish your best with projects. One day I would like to know how you are getting inspirations/ideas on your projects.
Nothing like a trip to Soho to ease the stress. (Or give you a complete complex about how hopelessly un-hip you are.) Keep breathing…
What a lovely shot….Happy Spring to you Miss Jenna!
Awesome picture. Also loving this great weather! Happy belated anniversary, just got some cookies yesterday and am super looking forward to them (first time trying!)
Hope your stress doesn’t last long. Good luck with everything.
Hi Jenna! First of all – I love the blog and it’s so inspirational to see you and your family achieve all the happiness in both life and work while also being honest about the trials and tribulations that come with. And to boot – your photos are beautiful! You’re so lucky to have such beautiful and cool daughters! I just wish we could order your Whimsy & Spice products! (we’re in Cambodia – so shipping is always a huge issue!) – so we’ll have to jump those goodies when we make it back to the continent.
Anyways – I’m freelancing too (in a different industry) and I totally hear you on the stress. It kinda jumps on you doesn’t it? At first there’s a calm, but eventually a storm hits. Hope the stress hasn’t hit it too big yet and like all storms, it will always be really green and nice after! Good luck with everything!
What a gorgeous shot. It’s strangely warm in Chicago, it’s throwing me off!
Can’t wait to bite into my W&S goodies. 🙂
Beautiful. If you ever fancy a house exchange for the UK, we are in 🙂
Spring has sprung in these parts as well. With unseasonably warm temperatures all winter, the plants and flowers are sprouting and budding early. I’m not going to complain that I’ve had to break out the short sleeves in early March.
On a side note, it was your design projects that brought you to my attention. Your words kept me here.
Tim
I love that this picture formed a natural gradient. Spring is in the air.
your photos are stunning … always
the way you capture your life just amazes & thrills me.
I like this feeling of anticipation through your image. Seasons change…
