We’ve seen a couple of great sunsets while in LA. This one at Redondo Beach was spent with our old NY friends who recently moved out this way. What a change from Brooklyn to life near the beach. I know I won’t be ready to give up life in New York anytime soon, but I know that at some point in the far future I will end up near the ocean.
the sunset is beautiful. i don’t think i can ever leave the ocean for too long.
What a wonderful sunset… oh how I long for warm weather and the beach! The third photo of the running into the sunset is my favourite.
The beach looks great… but please do tell us more about those matching ponchos!
Seriously breathtaking sunset. So crisp and so serene. Gorgeous photography as always Jenna. So glad you guys are enjoying such a lovely break.

I love all of your NYC photos, but it’s so cool to see your California ones, because it’s such familiar scenery! I was just in Hermosa Beach yesterday, right on the border of Redondo – no fun sunsets, but I spend a lot of time there, so I’ve seen my fair share. Glad you’re enjoying LA!
I used to come to this beach when I would ditch school and Friday nights when it was “cool” to drive up and down the Esplanade; brings back awesome memories! I love R.B.! Hope you ate some crab, clam and oysters at the pier. : )
wow! quite different to the beaches I’m accustomed to seeing, but nonetheless it is stunning, especially during sunset! I guess LA is famous for many things;)
Incredible sunset. I wish I could have seen a beach at some point this winter, sigh.
@Laura they are from my friend’s line, Ismodern, which I have written about many times here, but unfortunately she is closing her business and these ponchos are all sold out. They are seriously the best!
@Sandra Oh, we did not eat crabs, clams or oysters at the pier! Too bad! (it was pretty cold that evening though!)
I have been reading your blog for what seems like ages now (thank you so much), and now here you are on my street (4th photo) and in my hood. I am glad it was a nice day for you and the family. It’s probably better that I didn’t see the girls, or I may have felt the need to say, “Oh, I know you two… where’s your mom?” Funny how you read a blog about someone on the other side of the country and then there they are in your backyard. I hope my two girls and I make it to NY soon.
