the summer begins

May 25, 2009 |  Category:   life nyc

I’m not usually a hot weather fan, but I am loving this summer weather we’re having. The girls can finally wear the summer dresses they’ve been pining to wear everyday (yeah ok, me too), and we’ve been passing the time sitting on stoops, on grass, on benches, pretty much anywhere we can stay outdoors. The long weekend was filled with visits from family and friends, guacamole and mojitos, brunch in Dumbo, after dinner ice cream from the artisan ice cream truck in our neighborhood, outdoor meals out on the patio in the burbs, and a little shopping. Hope you had a nice weekend too.

You have an artisan ice cream truck in your neighborhood?? I’m not exactly sure what that is but it sounds amazing and I am jealous!
Your girls are adorable in those dresses. If you don’t mind me asking, where did you find them?

So many people says this – I’m more a lurker than a commenter, but a project at work has forced me out of my ‘lurking’ comfort zone and into commenting on blogs. And this morning, reading another blog (What We Do All Day) I thought of you (you know what good friends we are, ha!) so here’s the link to the particular post (you may and probably do, already know about these places, but just in case there’s one new one – you’re always taking your sweet girls so many cool places!)

mia’s dress is from a Jcrew sale. I always take a look when they have that extra 20% off sale items sales – I think I paid $20. it really is a lovely dress. Claudine’s dress was Mia’s but I don’t quite remember where I got it – also another clearance item.
