What a weird and stressful week. February came like BLAM! POW! I just hope it starts to calm down some, although we are supposedly getting a snowstorm of “historic proportions” later today. NYC is on the edge of that storm front so no one knows just how much snow, but the states north of us are predicted to get 2-3 feet. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see, though I am hearing rumors of long waits and shortages at gas stations already, sheesh. Way to hit the panic button.
Though our weekend plans keep getting derailed by natural and unnatural forces, we’re going to try our hardest to have a great weekend because someone is turning 9 tomorrow. Mia is thrilled to have Mark home for her birthday. A rough week with car issues, big work deadlines and a flurry of Valentine’s Day orders has forced us to cancel the Flea, but maybe it’s not a bad thing if we’re getting as much snow as they’re saying. Instead, we’re going to make a terrific birthday breakfast, watch movies, make some Valentines, trek out in the snow in search of a birthday dinner at a local restaurant and hopefully go sledding on Sunday.
Hope you fare well in the storm, Northeast friends!
