Hard to believe, but I wrote our very first blog post about a year ago today, so I thought it was appropriate to take another picture of the kids in bed, one year later. Surprisingly they haven’t actually changed much, save for the messy bedhead hair.
We’ll be coming up on a lot of first year anniversaries in the next month: the Flea opening where we got our first sale and the date that we consider to be our first day of business, and then our one year anniversary over at our etsy shop. Crazy, huh? In many ways it seems like such a short time ago, but at the same time I feel like I’ve been wrapping brownies forever. More mind boggling than that is the fact that we’ve posted on this blog every day for the past year. That’s 365 posts and that many more photos. And it’s not like I’m pulling products off the web and writing about how I much like them (NOT that it’s any easier – I should know since I do that over at Babygadget), so I can’t quite wrap my brain over how the hell I’ve managed to write something every single day. But as anyone who follows me on twitter knows, I don’t seem to have a lack of things to say. I’m no writer and not even a real photographer for that matter, so whatever the reason that compels you to come visit us everyday, we want to thank you, dear friends. It’s been a really fun year.
aw happy blog birthday
Hey – congratulations on your bloggoversary. I have a pretty overflowing Google Reader, but I’m always up to date with your posts. I can’t remember how I came across it (might have had something to do with recipes), and as a southern hemispheran I frustratingly have never been able to try one of your cookies, but your blog is really one of my favourites. Usually a decent blog has one theme or shtick keeping it moving, but you have great photos, the recipes, the honest chronicling of your new business (I feel compelled to root for its success, and not just because I love baked goods) AND your growing family (my gosh, the cutest daughters ever). Winning combo, if you ask me. Plus, you update regularly but not so much that I can’t keep up. Plus, even when the chips are down you guys are frank about it but never whine or wallow, like other bloggers may. Plus you have cool kids. Plus I like baked goods.
And that’s the ramble on why I like your blog. Congrats!
Congratulations! i have only started following your blog a short while ago, but im loving you photography and everyday-stories! and your beautiful girls! keep up the good blogging and good luck with both the blog and the business in the future!
Hi! Recently found your blog so I’m not a long time follower, but I’m about to become one! Love the beautiful photos of cookies and sweets and absolutely love getting a peek of your lovely kids (I’m soon having my first so the interest and “oohh”-factor rises every day…) Hoping for another year! Love from Sweden
Congratulations on a successful, adventure-filled year. I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog and watching your beautiful girls grow up. May the next year bring you nothing but prosperity, satisfaction, and good health.
Thank you for the past year of posted ruminations and realizations, challenges and triumphs. The 21st C version of a good book, if you don’t mind me saying: a collection of short stories I read one of every day. I have so enjoyed watching the girls grow, watching the business grow (and eating your sweets). I know you will do BIG things in the next year, and I know I will be listening…
Thanks!
Congrats on your bloganniversary. It’s been really funto read all your post. Actually almost as addictive as your sweets.
Happy blog-anniversary! You all should make a cake! I know you can.
Happy 1 year anniversary!!! I’ve loved every entry, every recipe and every picture! Keep’em coming!

One year…I remember it well and have enjoyed every single post. I don’t know how you do it, but it is a wonderful part of my life in that it makes the distance seem less onerous.
Oh and I want to ditto what everyone else said, esp qooza. It really does have a great combo of winning elements. Thanks for keeping it going!
Congrats! And as always, cutest kids ever!!
Congrats, you’re one of my favorite distractions. I think you should hold a garland-making workshop, still love that garland!

Just want to add into the congratulations! Here’s to many more to come.
And as for reading your blog and such, it’s not narcissistic, and I’m sure you gain in writing as much as we do reading. I personally read as you post beautiful, inspiring, real, honest, and accessible photos and words that I love to keep up with.
beautiful! Sometimes is everything together that attracts me to a blog, not the little bits in particular.
Here is to another happy blogging year!
