When I sit at home in Brooklyn and think about Seattle and the Northwest, it’s the view of the water that I miss the most. I’m fairly certain that I’ll retire by the water, if not this view then somewhere else.

Hope you’re having a good week. We’re totally in that vacation zone where life and responsibilities and all that looms ahead is far far away. I know it’s not forever, but it’s nice for now.

How you feel about Seattle and the Northwest is exactly how I feel about Lake Tahoe. I lived there after college and, like we all seem to do while living in a gorgeous locale, I took its beauty for granted. I used to drive by the lake every day to go to work and never really saw it. Of course it was that and the pine scent filled air that I missed the most when I moved. I’m headed back next month for a wedding and can’t wait to soak it all in. The peace & beauty of the water is like a magic elixir for me…it calms me & makes me truly relax. It’s my happy place 🙂

Living by the water and the mountain is something I and my husband want after we talked where to retire. Just being by the nature is great even it might not be the most convenient when we need to fly out to somewhere, when we want to dine in something unique, and when we need to see specialized doctors. But the nature is something we have been missing from our urban life nowadays. I am glad you are relaxing:)

Lovely photos (as always). I love being by the water as well. There’s just something so peaceful and refreshing about it, yeah?

I’m so with you on that Jenna, retiring with a view like that sounds perfect. I’d probably take up to painting and paint a billion versions of this view. Glad you’re enjoying it.
