And I needed that. 68 degrees. Brilliant sunshine. Trees in a haze of tiny green buds. Lunch with Nichole in Bryant Park (and hundreds of other New Yorkers and tourists, apparently) and coffee with Anna. Not a lick of work except a phone call and a few emails. Coming home and hanging out on the stoop with neighbors instead of sticking my head in a laptop for the rest of the afternoon.
A day off.
Clearing my head. My head sure needs it. It’s been full of crap.
lovely sunshine 🙂 away from work cool.

I thought I was this was Paris for a split second when I saw the second spot! I’m excited to move here this year.
lol. the last sentence makes me chuckle! mine too, lately 🙂
So happy that you got a day off! 🙂
So do I need a break!!!! NYC looks great.
Looks and sounds absolutely wonderful. I think it would be nice to disconnect from my laptop (even phone) for a day. Probably essential for mental health, really.
I’m glad you had a day off. Hope your Easter weekend is great.

That sounds like a fantastic day. My favorite kind. We all need days like this. Glad you enjoyed it.
What a treat. You certainly deserve it. Breaking up the monotony is good for the soul.
Good for you 🙂
Glad you enjoyed your day off. Wish I could be in New York, it’s freezing here in England! Have a lovely Easter weekend : )
Sounds like the perfect day. I would have loved the people watching alone.
I’m glad you got to enjoy yourself girl. You deserve it. It looks like a lovely time outdoors 🙂
Yes ……
Reminds me of ICE Cube’s “It was a good day” song, with less gangsta.
I love Bryant Park. Memories of having my brown bag lunch every day at my internship last summer. It always felt like WINNING something whenever we got a table to ourselves at prime lunch hour!
good for you. great reminder that we all need to take a day off – completely.
This was a beautiful day – I was there! With my co-worker on a long lunch in the foreground of your second shot. I love that you caught this gorgeous day.
PS Did you see Bill Cunningham there too? He bent down to take a shot of the flower bed (and who knows what else his keen eye had spied) right behind us.
i’m not really a city person…. but these photos makes me want to book a ticket right away! 🙂 just love the trees and the big, big houses behind them.
i lived in nyc for one summer and one of my favorite places was bryant park. i remember watching movies on monday nights at bryant park and even though there were hundreds of other people there, BP always made me feel like i was the only one there…it’s a magical little place…
