Just another Saturday in Dumbo visiting the new Jane’s carousel right on the waterfront. It’s a beauty, yes? You can read more about the restoration and installation here.

My friend and I were fortunate to take a spin on this lovely thing when the Brooklyn Book Festival was happening a few weeks ago. We had some time in between events so we walked down to Brooklyn Bridge Park, got to feel the luscious grass between our toes, and rode the carousel. Pretty amazing. I love our borough!

wow these photos are phenomenal! I posted about the ‘carousel in the big glass box’ (as my son called it) but didn’t get pix nearly as gorgeous as those. amazing.

I really love this carousel. Spent part of my elopement day here. Funny you posted these photos today because I had posted these photos onto my blog today as well. But my tiny old camera gasping for its last breath couldn’t capture the kind of beautiful shots you do. Gorgeous photos!

@Paula @Jen Thanks ladies. Sometimes carousels are hard to shoot because they move so fast. I wish I took more photos, but we had a lot of family that day and there was a lot going on. I don’t think I quite captured the detail of the horses or the “big picture” story of the carousel. Guess we just need to go back!

I can see this from my studio window and we were so ecstatic when it was finally finished a few weeks ago. We all ran down and took rides immediately. It’s especially beautiful at night if you get a chance to see it after dark.
