Thanks to all for the first year blog anniversary wishes. I’m looking forward to another year of food, business, life in NYC, and zany kid madness. Little do the kids know that so many of you “know” them. I wonder if this blog will be a source of embarassment for them later on in life, but as our life stands, it’s nearly impossible to separate work/kids/business from our lives right now, so we just deal with the intermingling of everything on a daily basis and go with the flow.
Before I forget, I want to thank a few people for some recent press mentions. 2 of my most favorite blogs posted about us in the last week: Oh Joy! and a Cup of Jo and the very talented Sandra from Smosch, whose photos inspire me to no end, gave our blog a shout out a while back – thank you ladies! We were also interviewed by the wonderful Alissa Wilkinson for The Curator Magazine, which you can read here. We’ll be recording a podcast next week for Hey Brooklyn, and it *appears* that our marshmallow favors and labels will indeed be in a future issue of Martha Stewart Weddings this year.
By the way, does anyone ever drink Port? Mark picked some up on the way home a few weeks ago and we just finished the last of it.
Congrats on it all… especially the Martha Stewart mention in the future (keeping fingers crossed that it does indeed happen).
I’ve been craving your goodies all week, but I keep resisting temptation. Won’t last much longer though. Expect another order soon.
Congrats on the Martha Stewart Weddings! It will surely big great press for you!
Re the port: my husband dabbled in it for awhile. That stuff knocked him out and he wasn’t a lightweight drinker, at least not back then. After a small glass, he was stumbling to find the closest flat surface to pass out on. He enjoyed it very much but he didn’t become a connossieur by any means.
Hmm port is quite strong isn’t it?
I love ice wine. But the alcohol content tends to be quite high…
My friends and I love finish to off an evening of delicious food and good company with little glasses of port and large pieces of dark chocolate to nibble on.
Congrats on your blog anniversary. I recently stumbled across your blog and love the photos of your family and the treats. Thank you for sharing. Your girls are so cute; they remind me of my nieces Maya and Grace.
If you like port I urge you to try Graham’s six grapes. It is very fruity and delicious, excellent with cheese and fruit after dinner. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments and it’s such a pleasure to travel along with you through the blog.
congrats on the martha stewart edition and your blog’s anniversary! 🙂
port . . . it’s been awhile but i’ve had it with chocolate and it was delish.
i think that no matter what we do, we will be/are a ‘source of embarassment’ to our kids . . . part of the job description. 😉
Woot on the MS press ^_^ that’s high class yo!
I agree, only on occasion alongside dark chocolate.
