OK…I never really thought to go fruit picking before we had kids. Sure, I spent a month picking blueberries in Maine one summer during college, but that was hard work for money and the chance to experience something different than my upbringing in an urban environment. But for fun? No. We did really well with various U-Pick activities this year though: strawberries, peaches, lavender, and now apples and raspberries. The kids really dig raspberry picking: “5 berries for me and one for the basket”, “No! I’m not picking for the basket, I’m picking for the eating”. Ok, Miss C. Whatever gets anything fresh and healthy into your stomach is fine with me.
ha. we did the same thing this weekend. no raspberries, though. as usual, your pictures are amazing.
Those apples look great! I hope you find some way to use 2 bags of apples, though… 🙂
We are waiting for a free weekend moment and will be doing the same.
Side note – your photos are always so gorgeous, love them!
Second side note – my almost 4 year old sees your girls and wants a haircut just like them. Is it hard to keep up (lots of trims)?
Love this time of year! Your pictures are fabulous.
Kelly, that’s funny. I do give them fairly frequent haircuts – every 6-8 weeks or so….
You do the cuts yourself?!
Kelly. Indeed. There’s no way I can afford haircuts for both every 6 weeks (they’re due another cut. They’re totally shaggy here). I cut Mark’s hair too. I’m cheap that way.
Ok, I’m super impressed! Their hair is adorable and my four year old has been begging for short hair for months. I’ll have to see if we can swing it!
My son is now 15, and up until the age of 10, my husband would put him inside the bathtub, standing, and cut his hair real short! He looked adorable afterwards! My hair is curly but it’s always straight because I have a girl coming every week to the house to straighten it…all the money that I have given on..hair, I would of bought a ticket for a world trip..plus!
Mmm, apples! And your wonderful shots remind me that I have to take my six-year old out to an orchard to try this — haven’t done that yet! We’ve done pumpkins, but not apples.
ha! you’ll have to give us a tutorial on how to cut hair! my daughter has the same style which I pay 20 for!!
