Last week, our 2017 calendars went on sale (available on our site and on Etsy) and this year's calendar is a departure from our usual food and NYC calendars. We've been playing with flowers all year – in our food, in sketches and watercolors, and also in collages (three from the series I did this summer are below). Late Spring, in all its seasonal glory

The farmers markets around the city are bursting with seasonal produce and flowers lately and we’ve been picking up fiddleheads, ramps, lilacs and any other goodies that catch our eye. Even though my office was near Union Square and I’d walk through the market every Monday to and from work, the market on Saturdays is much bigger with a lot more farmers. Our favorite recent purchase were these camomile flowers. We made a few desserts with the edible flowers that I’ll post at a later date, but if you follow us on Instagram or Snapchat, then you’ve seen some of our recent little food projects.
