1000 Markets, and beyond

November 7, 2008 |  Category:   the biz

We’re happy to announce that we’ve joined a new online marketplace called 1000 Markets, a collection of artisan businesses selling crafts, art, and food, just to name a few. You could say that it’s akin to etsy, and indeed some of the same businesses are featured, but the interface and look is entirely different. You can find our shop here, and if that wasn’t enough Whimsy & Spice for you, we’re excited to be finally rolling out our own new website in the next week or so where you’ll be able to buy products directly from us.

And for the first time, we made our first wholesale delivery outside of NY a few weeks ago, with another big order to ship soon to The BackDrop, located in Woodstock, IL. Gregg, the owner, mentioned that the shipment boxes came crushed and partially opened (oh no!) but miraculously, not 1 cookie was broken inside (the hell?). Mark also made a first time delivery today to both locations of Union Market in Park Slope, expanding our retail outlets here in Brooklyn (I think we have Park Slope covered though – 4 stores, you think?). Yeah, we’ve been busy, and we’ve felt like we’ve been drowning this week in fact, but things may be easing up just a little bit. I’ve got a ton of design work to do, however, so it’s business as usual around here. Here’s a big sigh to that.
