Our chocolate gingersnaps were the cookies that got Martha all excited. We’ll have full packages of them tomorrow at the Brooklyn Flea/Time out NY holiday fair, “Gifted”. We almost forgot that we had holiday events lined up for the next three weekends and it’s putting us over the edge to have to make even more packages of cookies, but ironically will be the first chance Mark will get to sit down and have a moment that’s not spent baking or packing. So it’s all good. I planned on helping the table out tomorrow, but we’ve decided that a better use of my time would be to work. Our mode of operation is to tackle and focus on a few tasks a day, so today, for example, I trimmed 175 strips of 3 inch decorative paper that wraps around our boxes. Whatever it takes…
One of the packages has arrived and been opened, reluctantly. My friend Miriam said, “It’s so pretty I don’t want to open it.” and I said, “Open it.”
She did, and happiness ensued. She was particularly excited about the marshmallows, because they are heavy users of their fireplace and live in a drafty old house.
Kudos, and many thanks.
oh good god these look so yummy!!!
Wow! I have been behind in my blog reading for the last few weeks and just caught up on you guys – big things are happening for you! I hope you’re not feeling too overwhelmed and that everything is working out for you.
I’m also insanely jealous that I’m in the UK and can’t get your confections. It’s enough to make me plot a trip to NYC!
those look good!
