event at Pink Olive this friday

If you’re in the area on Friday evening, drop on by to Pink Olive, a charming boutique here in Park Slope that will begin selling our products. Mark and I will be there to serve up some samples, owner Grace will provide drinks and a free gift with purchase that evening, and I’m extra excited to meet Jennifer Causey, a local Brooklyn photographer whose work I’ve long admired. Prints of her photos will be available at Pink Olive as well.

I was actually introduced to Pink Olive a few years ago (then, just 1 location in the East Village) when I was still doing Babygadget – I wrote about their ice cream popsicle soaps that are still being sold at the stores. Funny how blogging has come full circle for me. Now I’m on the other side of reviews. And because of the business, I’m getting to meet some of the artists and bloggers that I’ve written about and linked to. nice.

Oh, this just in: here’s the Time Out NY Kids article we’re in. It’s also in the print mag which I will have to pick up. Remember when I said that I had to bribe the kids into good behavior with candy? Can you see the pucker on their mouths from candy? I also tried to get out of being in the photo (not all the families have parent photos!). I wish I wore something different. Oh well.

love the card with those teacups! wish we weren’t heading out of town on friday, would have loved to sample everything! The crayon costume is adorable.

Those were very creative costumes! I especially liked the black tutu idea because it’s a nice twist to a common costume. I’m surprised you wanted to wear something different because your outfit is so appropriate and festive in a stylish way.

I think you all look lovely in the photos. Looking at them I wouldn’t have guessed all the behind the scenes kerfuffle eg the lolly bribing.

My favourite shot is probably the last tone with Mia sort of half taking flight in the background.

I think I look…conservative or something. I didn’t really think too much about what I was going to wear and then I was caught off guard cause we had to dress like it was fall so I threw that jacket on, cause it was orange I guess?…but there’s a guy totally wearing shorts in the background of one of those photos, lol.

I love the photos, especially having read the background. A definite candy pucker in photo #3! Looks like a great event; wish I could come.

Your outfit was perfect for a fall photo shoot. You’re very pretty, Jenna, and your daughters are beautiful. I wish I knew how to sew because then I would make Halloween costumes for myself, too.
