Thanks to those blog readers who came by to say hi today at the Brooklyn Flea. It was a great first weekend (by the way you can find weekly Market Dates in the sidebar now). We are donating 10% of all sales made at the Flea today to support the relief efforts in Haiti. This goes for sales in our online shops too till the end of next week and the money will be distributed equally among Mercy Corps, Doctors Without Borders, Partners in Health and the UN Central Emergency Response Fund.
And yeah, the pink heart marshmallows are back for Valentine’s Day (or as Mia likes to call them, “baby butts”). This year they are cinnamon!
I was hoping to see you there today, Jenna. I hope you are feeling better. Loved all the products we bought and the kids went crazy for the marshmellows. Your husband gave us some cocoa and my husband said that it was the best cocoa he has ever had (and he has ha a lot!) Thanks so much.
Oh my, those baby butts look scrumptious! I did what I could from Miami and RTed that you were at the BK flea
That is a wonderful that you’re doing in donating some of your profits. P.S. Cinnamon pink heart marshmallows sound so good – I wish you delivered internationally 🙁
what a wonderful and generous idea.
i wanted to let you know about Partners in Health, which is the largest on-the-ground health care relief effort left standing in Haiti. i heard about PIH through my school, which is sending a medical team to Haiti tonight through PIH funding. if you donate on their site, they will use the funds to directly help relief efforts.
please consider sending some donations their way too!
Mary Ellen, sorry I missed you. Yeah, still sick and it was so rainy out.
Nadia, thanks for the re-tweet!
Linda, yes we are considering Partners in Health too. thanks.
Please consider making a donation to Partners in Health. Dr. Paul Farmer’s group has been providing healthcare in Haiti for decades now. They are really well-established in Haiti. If I remember correctly, Dr. Paul Farmer worked closely with President Clinton when he was in office.

We are a small world after all. In times of need there are no boundaries, only human hearts beating. This gives me hope and fills my eyes with tears.
Jenna, you have been an inspiration to me for the past year and I have found comfort in your blog. You and some other people have encouraged me to start my own blog, which I find quite therapeutic. My link is “manya-mykitchenstories.blogspot.com”.
I would love to read your comments.
… wonderful, loveable… as you and your family
You guys are so sweet for donating 10% of your sales. Bless your heart!
LOL. Now that you mention it, they do look like cute little baby butts. Love em!
love it! The color is awesome. This is genius. I’m sure it tastes yummy!
