New Metric conversion posters

September 5, 2012 |  Category:   art + design the biz

What, it only took 2 years to get a Metric Kitchen Conversion Poster designed! But it’s here in 3 colorways (so far). I’ve gotten so many requests for a metric version of our popular Kitchen Conversion poster, but I think what was throwing me was that the use of graphics couldn’t really be translated in the same way. This poster is much more typographic with some references to the kitchen graphics used in the original poster, mainly as a pattern motif in the background.

Available now in our Etsy poster shop and coming to our website soon.

PS. Don’t mind the “mess”in our etsy poster shop. I’m contemplating moving the few photos I have left off to a separate website and just having the conversion charts on there. The whole shop just needs a massive reorganization…

ooo oooo oooo oooo! Any chance you might print these on a tea towel? Love love love……

They look amazing! Just a quick question, 1 cup is 236.5 ml if I recall correctly, not 240 ml as the chart says. It’s not a huge difference but still it’s a difference?

  • Jenna September 5, 2012 at 9:35 pm

@RebeccaNYC probably not. The tea towels are a pain to get made and I’m thinking that the ones I have left are my last run. I sell way more posters and prints.

@Karen hi! You know, there is a lot of discrepancies about some of the conversions. Some sources say 236.5, others say 240. I do think that we will change it to 236 as we are trying to avoid decimal points and .5 ml would be negligible anyway. Good question. Thanks for bringing it up.

@Jenna — Haha. MAYBE. Maybe I will just have to get both of them. 🙂 The hot pink is… well… HOT.
