Well, actually, if you happened to pop over to the site this weekend, you would have noticed that it’s changed. We launched it quietly Saturday morning (actually our domain transfers happened a lot more quickly than expected, catching us off guard and having us scrambling to make last minute revisions). If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you’ll see that all of the images are familiar, but it’s just a more robust site with more information and now, ecommerce. We owe a lot of our current customer base to etsy and it certainly was one of the players that helped grow our business. It will also be interesting to see what comes out of 1000 Markets as they start promoting their site, however, we do get a fair amount of traffic to our site and we have to wonder how many customers we’ve lost by redirecting them to etsy, which, if you aren’t familiar, can be quite a confusing jump. While our old site was a quick fix because we needed to throw something up on our url before Brooklyn Flea launch, I took much more time in planning and designing this site. So now we feel quite like a legit business. We owe many thanks to our tireless friend and programmer Nita, who bears with me so graciously while I nitpick things all over the place. Thank you! You’re a lifesaver!
